Registration on the role of the NGROD in Belgium

Dear veterinary surgeon,

If you are established in Belgium and wish to practise veterinary medicine there, you must register on the role of the Dutch-speaking Regional Council of the Order of Veterinary Surgeons (NGROD).

Documents required for your registration application

To process your registration application, we kindly ask you to provide the following documents:

  • The registration form, fully completed and signed
  • The statement on honour, only if you temporarily do not have a legal place of residence in Belgium, fully completed and signed
  • A copy of your legal qualification (diploma)
  • Recognition of this qualification by the FPS Public Health or by one of the three Communities in Belgium, if your qualification was not obtained in Belgium. More information is available on the FPS Public Health website.
  • A recent extract from your criminal record, not older than three months

After your registration

After your file has been processed, you will receive your registration number and proof of registration, together with additional information. These will be sent by post to the address of your stated legal place of residence as well as by e-mail.

After registration on the role of the NGROD, you may practise veterinary medicine in Belgium and must pay the annual membership fee upon invitation.
